Hauraki Plains Rural Show - Supported by Hauraki Plains Motors Ltd
4th November 2017
10 Years!
About the Hauraki Plains Rural Show:
The Hauraki Plains Rural Show began in 2008. A group of parents and interested parties got together and decided to restart the calf club section of the old Hauraki Plains A & P Show.
The original idea grew from calf club to incorporating local organisations and businesses. In addition to the calf club section with dairy and beef calves, lambs and kids, we also have stalls and demonstrations.T
The Young Handler competition was a success, we would love to see some young lads join the girls, and also some other breeds! - Sorry it's dairy breeds only. For 2017 we will again have a yearling class as well as a calf class. We may have a new sponsor for the yearling class, with the calf class continuing to be sponsored by Ngatea Jerseys and Quality Presentations. For College students, year 9 to year 13, and for those left school up to 20 years of age as of 1st November 2017.
The Young Handler section for 2017 will include a novice section for the calf section. It is open for those who have not won a ribbon at the HP Rural Show Young Handler event.
Public entry on the day is FREE, it is a great family day out.
